Sick Recordings

Well here I am! It's been a while, but I haven't been doing nothing. Although that's what I've felt like the last couple weeks. This because I've been sick, probably the flu or something, maybe the Mexican flu?! I don't know... All I know is I fainted in the pharmacy, ready to pick up my prescription, and that didn't work out so well. I do find it amusing to tell people cause it's such a dramatic story. (me falling on the floor, surrounded by people, them all telling me to keep my head up and breathe, somebody walked me home, etc. etc.)

Anyway that's that. I wasn't very capable of going into the studio and recording as you could understand, so I've been trying to get stuff done at home and being as productive as I could. On top of this, my brother Colin (who is the drummer of my E.P.) got harassed by a cat. Yes, a cat. This story is much much worse then my fainting disaster and he should get a fantastic citizen award of some sort because he saved a cat from drowning, who immediately decided to bite and cut both his wrists and hands open. Couldn't the cat wait till my E.P. was finished?? Poor brother. He's not even mad at the cat, I find that remarkable.

So, needless to say, no super-tight, awesome, cool and sick recordings (yet!).
We'll get there, and in the meantime I'm playing lot's of Living Room Concerts, we made the semifinals for the Clash of the Titans (band contest here in Utrecht), and always moving forward.

Hi there,

I wanted to say "niiiice", but it ain't half niiiiiiice, what's been happening to you and your bro. Well, your description of things is. I am sure your recording will be the better for it. There will be much more 'soul'in it, now that the two of you have gone through all this hardship. Should I be worried about your health? Or was it indeed 'just' a nasty flu. Next time we meet I will tell you about the one time I went down. I was 20, I believe. See we have something in common. Talk later and keep those entries coming!

Greets from Chiang Mai,

Sallo

Oh Rachelly, I'm so sorry you've been sick and am glad you are on the mend. I'm looking forward to the wonderful music you will do with Colin. Have you heard any of Audrey Assad's or Michael Gungor's music? Check them out and let me know what you think. Lookin' forward, so much, to seeing you! Love and hugs...
